Tips to Select Cheap Car Shipping Service

There are many car shipping companies these days offering a wide range of car shipping services. BY far, the most affordable and most reasonable way of shipping a car is by using open multi car carriers. These carriers are huge trucks that can carry up to 10 cars at one time. You may have seen some of these on the roads before. They usually have 2 levels and can carry 4 to 5 cars on each level. Because they are so long and high, they are limited to travel along major highways and roads with no obstruction of low hanging trees and bridges.

Cheap car shipping service Tips:

Federal Car Shipping License: All car shipping companies need to be registered with a federal license before they are allowed to ship cars. Make sure you ask the car shipping company for proof that they carry the federal license.

Extra Cost: Some car shipping companies appear to offer very cheap transport services but in fact, there are many hidden cost that they do not state upfront. Make sure you check with the company the total cost of shipping up front before signing the agreement letter. Examples of hidden cost are usually fuel surcharges, car insurance and extra charges for shipping to your house.

Door to Door: Not all car shipping services will ship the car to your house. Some car shipping companies only deliver to major cities and towns and will deposit your car in a terminal. From there, you will collect your car. There are also some companies that charges additional fees for shipping to your house. In any case, make sure you ask the car shipping company whether they provide door to door delivery for terminal to terminal delivery. In most cases, terminal to terminal is cheaper.

Shipping Insurance: Make sure you have sufficient insurance coverage when shipping your car. Some car shipping companies already factor in the insurance in the total shipping cost while others require additional cost. It's also important to know what you are being covered. With so many cheap car shipping services available today, you should take your time and search for a few car shipping quotes before deciding on one.

The New McLaren Mercedes MP4-27

When the recently named Cater ham team presented its 2012 car last week, the first of the Formula One teams to do so, there was a sudden eating of breath as fans, drivers and F1 people in general said, "Gosh, that’s ugly!"

The terror was that the new rules that need the nose of the car to be higher than last year would create cars with noses as hideous as the one on the Cater ham, which called to mind a platypus. Rules, or certainly the lack of rules, do that kind of thing sometimes - remember the six wheeled Tyrrell of the 70s, or all those winglet cars 15 years ago?

When the McLaren Mercedes team revealed its 2012 car live on the Internet and in front of the media in England - and by the way, this was technically the best Internet unveiling I’ve ever seen, with a clear streaming image and sound - there was a sigh of relief and recognition of the car’s beauty not only by reporters, but by the drivers themselves.

When the McLaren drivers were selected during the event, both of them spoke of the importance of having a beautiful car.

"There are a few alter that are going to make a variation to the look of the car," said Jenson Button. "As you can see this is a gorgeous car, and many you will see will not be."

Lewis Hamilton agreed with that and punctuated his remark with a point that rings true:

"Commonly when the car looks good it is good," said Hamilton.
