Keep Your Teen Driver Safe This Summer

Its time for all parents to give perfect guidelines to their Teens for safe driving and they also should see to that that they follow all the guidelines carefully. Since the school year winds down its better to give them perfect guidelines before they hit the road this summer!

And many studies also revealed that car accidents are the foremost cause for death of teens! According to CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) in the year 2005, 4,544 teenagers aging amid 16-19expired due to injuries caused by car crashes.

Well parents can very well help their kids who are of teenage by giving them following guideline:

  • Tell your teen to always wear a seat belt while in drive.

  • Tell them not drive when they are impaired by drugs/alcohol.

  • Keep a time for our teen drive so that they spend limited time on driving mainly instruct them not to drive at night time which quite dangerous/risky.

  • They are not supposed to use cell phones, not even messaging, nor meddling with MP3 players/cd when the car is on move.

  • There should be limited number of persons to be seated in the car when your teen is on drive.

  • Its always recommended to use driving contract in order to outline your family’ rules of the road.

  • Its better to have a code word so that you teen can call you up/text and inform you when she uncomfortable with anyone in car or when something is wrong.

  • Make your teen to sign up for safe-driving program that’s specially targeted for teens which comprises something like Driver’s Edge, Toyota Driving Expectations and Tire Rack Street Survival.
