Bugatti Veyron Sport for 2011

The origin of the Veyron car, as a technical design study for VW Group is well recognized. In the case of the 16.4 Super Sports, customer control was the deciding factor. Existing owners were asking not only for a new model but a harder, sportier-driving edition of the existing car.

Records for the Super Sport are amazing. Power is up from 1,001hp to an awesome 1,200, with maximum torque of 1,500Nm to match. Top speed is limited to 258 miles per hour for the road car, as Bugatti says this will protect the tyres from decayed. In all other compliments, it is one and the same to the record-breaking model.

This car engine is mated to a identical twin clutch 7-speed gearbox, providing clear-cut changes and ensuring extreme driving performance. Larger inter coolers are used to keep the massive heat of the 16-cylinder engine under control. The turbochargers have also increased in size. All that extra impulsion forced revisions to the chassis including raised main spring travel, stronger stabilizers and new shock absorbers. The composite set-up is similar to those where we used in racing car.

The car's all-wheel drive system helps keep the weight and power glued to the road. Body modifications include superior use of carbon fiber, which is stiffer and lighter and safer while a crash. The body panels are made completely of the respective belongings.

In summary, the Super Sport may differs from the standard Veyron with re-positioned scoops - no longer are they above the engine, but are now integrated into the top. The front air intakes have also been extended and reshaped, with the lower one extending stylishly around the sides to the wheel arch. At the back, this Veyron has a double diffuser and centrally arranged exhaust system. The 'standard' Veyron costing around £900,000, purchasing a 16.4 Super Sport will need very much more than that.
